Important Information
You must bring you own sleeping bag (mattresses & tents provided).
This is a participatory trip so you must be prepared to help chip
in with food prep etc.
Passports are your own responsibility. We can arrange free visas
for Zambia for most nationals.
Anti malarial advice and medication must be obtained from Doctor
/ Pharmacists beforehand. (Webb/Savoy opposite Mowbray)
It is a good idea to bring a personal 1st aid kit between a few friends
with headache pills, anti diarrhea, sunscreen and insect repellent
(i.e. the basics).
Personal travel insurance is vital - please ensure that you have
it.
Don't bring too much stuff. Backpacks are best (one big one and one
day pack) and no more than 20kg. The less luggage the better. When
we go into the Delta, we will only take our day packs with us.
Spending money should be mostly in cash (Rands and/or Dollars) and
travellers cheques. Credit cards can be used in Livingstone for optional
activities such River Rafting but incur credit card fees (5%).
Obey the laws of the land.
It is the back end of the rainy season so be prepared for a bit of
rain.
Please let us know of any special dietary requirements at the meeting
before the trip.
Signing of indemnities will be required before departure of trip.
Botswana will be hot so please bring hats, suntan lotion and your swimming
costume.
